JOB TITLE: Magazine Designer SALARY: to 28k + bens
THE COMPANY Our client specialise in providing corporate communication services to blue-chip clients, including online, film, print and training. As part of ongoing expansion they require an additional designer from a contract publishing background to join the team.
THE ROLE You will take responsibility for designing magazines, newsletters, and corporate literature for blue-chip clients. Attending client meetings, you will take design briefs and propose original design ideas. The role will include generating boarded-up work & mock-ups for client presentation, sourcing imagery, working with freelancers and client representatives, and producing print-ready PDFs.
THE CANDIDATE To be suitable for this role you must have very strong InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator skills. You must have considerable design skills, having worked in B2B publishing (contract publishing preferred) for a number of years, and ideally have a background in financial or business services design. Working as part of a small team the role will require excellent communication skills and the ability to hit strict deadlines on time, every time. This role would suit somebody who can work un-supervised, has bags of ambition and enthusiasm, and a design style which is both unique and cutting-edge, but suitable for the blue-chip corporate market.
